CIN Progress Report 2021–2024

The Connectivity Innovation Network Progress Report 2021-2024 documents the first three years of CIN’s development and delivery across New South Wales.

Established in 2021 by the NSW Telco Authority, CIN was created to bring researchers, government and industry together to explore new ways to improve connectivity—particularly in regional, rural and remote settings. This report reflects how that vision has taken shape through strategic collaboration, targeted investment, and a strong focus on real-world outcomes.

Over the past three years, CIN has supported projects that respond to on-the-ground needs—spanning deployable connectivity for emergency response, data sharing for public safety, sensing technologies for disaster resilience, and power solutions for off-grid environments. Several of these initiatives have gone on to earn national recognition and influence broader thinking about what’s possible in the connectivity space.

The Progress Report captures this journey—highlighting milestones, showcasing the work underway across the state, and offering a look at how CIN is building capability for the future.

This is both a snapshot of progress and a signal of what’s to come. We invite you to explore how CIN is helping shape the future of connectivity in NSW—by turning shared challenges into shared solutions.
