CIN Showcases Innovation Projects at the 2026 NSW Commercialisation Showcase
On the 14th of May, the Connectivity Innovation Network (CIN) participated in the 2026 NSW Commercialisation Showcase at the University of Technology Sydney, joining researchers, startups, government programs and industry teams from across New South Wales.
Hosted by the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist & Engineer, the showcase highlighted emerging technologies and collaborative innovation projects addressing real-world challenges across NSW. Alongside the showcase floor, the event also featured keynote presentations, panel discussions and deep-tech conversations exploring the future of research translation and commercialisation in NSW.
At the CIN showcase stand, our team shared a range of CIN-supported projects and technologies spanning connectivity, disaster resilience, secure data sharing and AI-driven systems. Featured projects included the Secure Multi-Org Data Sharing (SMODS) Platform, CIN’s Rapidly Deployable Large Area Wi-Fi (LAWIFI), the Power Resilience Platform’s Digital Twin, CASPER AI, and technologies developed through the Sensing for Disasters program.
The event also provided an opportunity to discuss how collaborative research and cross-sector partnerships can support translating research into operational outcomes and future commercial opportunities.
Joining CIN at the showcase was WANFi Technology, the startup commercialising the Large Area Wi-Fi access point developed under CIN’s Rapidly Deployable LAWIFI project. Pre-commercial prototypes are currently supporting coastal LAWIFI trials across three NSW beaches in partnership with Surf Life Saving NSW.
We thank the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist & Engineer for hosting another successful showcase and for continuing to support collaboration across NSW’s innovation ecosystem.
