CIN Announces AI for Network Security Grant Recipient
We are excited to share that Professor Ren Ping Liu and Dr Xu Wang from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) have been awarded the CIN Grant as part of our AI for Network Security Call for Proposals.
This project, inspired by insights from our 2023 Cybersecurity Symposium, aims to revolutionise Identity Intelligence using Large Language Models (LLMs). By moving beyond traditional rule-based approaches, it introduces a fresh way to detect and respond to digital threats, shifting the focus to proactive threat management.
What makes this project stand out:
Harnesses advanced LLMs to process and analyse diverse, complex data sources.
Targets human anomalies and potential security breaches with precision.
Utilises a two-stage approach for real-time threat detection and prevention.
Integrates SIEM systems and open-source intelligence for a comprehensive, adaptive solution.
Why it is important
This initiative signals a significant leap forward in cybersecurity, moving organisations away from reactive approaches and enabling them to address risks before they escalate. By recognising subtle behavioural patterns and anomalies, the project enhances security resilience and builds a stronger foundation for the future of identity-focused cybersecurity.
We’re proud to congratulate Professor Ren Ping Liu, Dr Xu Wang, and their team on this well-deserved recognition. Their innovative work exemplifies CIN’s mission to drive meaningful collaboration and cutting-edge solutions in connectivity and cybersecurity.
